Summary

A middle-aged woman has been discovered beheaded in the bedroom of her suburban home. Even more shocking to Illinois State Special Agent Elizabeth Taylor Hewitt is that not only was the head removed, it was missing. An attempt to talk to the woman's estranged husband yields another startling surprise for Hewitt and her partner, Jen Spangler.
