Cissy - Just a reminder to everyone - Tonight is one of our free-for-all nights, so no protocol. But we will be asking the authors to tell us about the December books when they get here "
melaniejaxn - I've been writing and writing about the goblin menace-- but maybe it is time to expose the gremlins.
RondaT - Thanks, Angle
Mac - Besides....I'm supposed to be writing right now, myself....but I think I deserve to play just a little.
BonnieJean Hamilton - Yeah! No protocol!!!! * bg*
Lea - I liked the Taco Bell thing at the end lol
sdsquires - Mel, did you get a package sent by DH? We picked all the weird stuff out ourselves.
JoannatheThird - I've aspired to be a dynasty for a long time, Squires. My delusions of grandeur are FINALLY coming true! Wooohooo!!!!
Mac - shoot....stupid typos.
KatBos - Expose 'em, Mel, expose 'em!!
RondaT - I'm working up the synopsis, Mac, so I am working on it
Sara - hi, Evelyn
KatBos - HI Evelyn!!
evelynrogers - Hi, all. Sorry to be late. I couldn't find my glasses. happening a lot lately
Mac - Ok...see, that is better than locking them in the closet.
Cissy - Well there's one of our authors now!
melaniejaxn - Squires, yes, and I sent a thank you (ecard). The port is awesome. I have been enjoying some tonight
PamelaClare - Hi, Evelyn! Welcome to the par-tay.
RondaT - Hi Evelyn
Lea - hi evelyn
sdsquires - Fudge? Yes!! Very Christmasee.
Ann K99 - hi Evelyn...I just read THE DEVIL IN THE DARK
JoannatheThird - Hi Evelyn!
melaniejaxn - Hey Evelyn
BonnieJean Hamilton - ugh..hate mine...just starting to wear bifocals...I feel so old!
sdsquires - Did you figure out how to use the head-massager, Mel? Just like the salon.....
Cissy - Welcome Evelyn! Tonight is one of our free-for-all nights, so no protocol. But could we ask you to tell us about THE GHOST OF CARNAL COVE?
Cissy -
KatBos - Bonnie, I can so relate. I had to get bifocals when I turned 40. So depressing!
sdsquires - Evelyn, you're here!!
Ann K99 - you are all welcome to the Fudge
KatBos - THE GHOST OF CARNAL COVE was so fabulous!!
Lea - I had to get glasses so I can learn how to drive
sdsquires - Glasses are no longer an optional experience. I can't even read menues any more.....
melaniejaxn - OOhhh-- let's not talk about old. I very stupidly tried a sample of retinol cream and ended up with a peeling face. Ugh!
R Casteel - bbl, maybe,
JoannatheThird - I realized how old I was getting when I realized I needed my glasses to shave my legs... *whimper*
Lea - I know I amn pathetic I am 40 and I don't drive
BonnieJean Hamilton - woah..well I turned 48 this past year...so I am overdue for them, I guess...
Rose! - Bye Rod!
BonnieJean Hamilton - don't feel so bad Lea...I'm 48 and I don't drive evelynrogers - thanks for the greetings. if it's time to tell about Carnal Cove, I'll dive in. Jilted young woman seeks refuged on the Isle of Wight, runs into arrogant sea captain (aren't they all) and a silvery apparition on her secluded beach
melaniejaxn - LOL Joanna
KatBos - My husband is going through denial about bifocals right now.
Mac - I feel so young.
PamelaClare - Evelyn, tell us where you got the inspiration for Ghost of Carnal Cove.
sdsquires - Some people have more resilient eyes, Bonnie.
Ann K99 - {{{Melanie|||is your face better now?
evelynrogers - she seeks refuge, dear hearts
Lea - what are you mac 25?
sdsquires - What? Me." Face problem???
Mac - I'm a wee bit older than that.
JoannatheThird - WHACK @ Mac!
BlindFaith - After my shipment of books from Leisure today, I am having a hard time deciding which one I should read first!!!!
val - The Isle of Wight has ghosts all over it, not to mention a top security prison!! lol
KatBos - The arrogant sea captain is such a hunk!
Rose! - Ronda, did you get the file ok?
sdsquires - Okay. I'm typing badly. My finger's still stiff.
BonnieJean Hamilton - No Sue..I am vane..and was refusing to wear bifocals back then
melaniejaxn - Yes, Ann, but I looked hideous for a week... the only thing youthful about that cream was feeling like I was teen after a sunburn at the beach.
Cissy - sounds great, Evelyn!
Mac - Geek is only 25, though...
evelynrogers - I went to the Isle of Wight last year and found it wonderful. Also I love writing gothics, it seemed a perfect setting for a ghost/ love story
Ann K99 - glad you're better
Lea - been studying a drivers manual
melaniejaxn - Poor Susan! And yes, let's gang up on Mac.
BonnieJean Hamilton - where is the Isle of Wight?
Lea - who is geek?
RondaT - Yes, Rose thanks so much. Haven't opened it yet, been too busy but thank you for sending it to me!
Ann K99 - hi Bewitched
Mac - My dearest, most wonderful b/f....**dreamy sigh**
sdsquires - I love England. I have LOTs of frequent flyer miles. I see the Isle of Wight in my future?
evelynrogers - a security prison? I didn't know that. Isle of Wight is off southern coast of England
val - Off the south coast of England, just south of Southampton
Rose! - I am glad I copied it on back-up! lol
Mac - My from Ronda will protect me.
val - whoops!
BonnieJean Hamilton - ahh..ok thanks
PamelaClare - Sounds wonderful, Evelyn. Isle of Wight -- the name sounds so romantic, if a bit spooky. Did you run into any wights?.
evelynrogers - squires, hie thee to the island. You'll find inspiration there
Ann K99 - Squires..may I carry your luggage? I want to go back to England
evelynrogers - PamelaC, no wights and no wongs either. Groan
Lea - I really need to go there
val - Yep most of our most dangerous criminals are sent there.
BonnieJean Hamilton - I haven't attempted to write anything outside the United States yet..in fact...I haven't even mentioned a city in any of of stories until just this past year.
PamelaClare - Squires, may I be in your luggage? Ann can carry me together with your underwear.
melaniejaxn - England-- I adore London. It's my favorite big city.
BonnieJean Hamilton - *of my stories*
Lea - many next year.
sdsquires - Hmmm. Husband wants to go to Australia. He is on a mission to visit all the wine-producing regions of the world. So much wine, so little time......
PamelaClare - Very punny, Evelyn.
BonnieJean Hamilton - lol Pam
Ann K99 - drinks...
RondaT - Squires, what are you working on now? Book wise
val - Did you go down to the needles and blackhorse (that's not the right name) chimes with the coloured sand?
evelynrogers - val, pardon my ignorance, you're British?
melaniejaxn - Tell Harry he needs to visit Sonora-- he have a few wineries
BonnieJean Hamilton - wish I could travel..having little ones makes that very difficult
Rose! - for Harry!
Patti O - Squires, Australia is the best place I've ever traveled.
Lea - I got invited to go to Scvotland
evelynrogers - no needles and blackhorse. sounds like my kind of place.
sdsquires - Lea, Britain is wonderful....we've been about six times (if you include the Scotland trip.) dh was so disappointed he didn't see the Loch Ness Monster.
Cissy - val is, Evelyn
JoannatheThird - Oooh, yes! Feed our addiction, Squires!
BlindFaith - I travel every day .... in the books I read.
PamelaClare - A friend of mine just brought me some heather from the battlefield at Culloden. I almost cried when she gave it to me.
melaniejaxn - I'm supposed to be in Scotland for a big reunion in July-- same time as RWA though...
sdsquires - Do we have an Australian contingent here? Where is Bry?
Lea - maybe a bunch of us syuch bgo together
Ann K99 - poor DH , Squires!
BonnieJean Hamilton - what a great response BlindFaith
val - I have your book in my tbr evelyn as it's unusual to have the IOW as a setting. Yep. I'm on vacation in Florida, but live in London and used to live in Poole and Brighton, the IOW is dead between them!
Lea - that is why I casn't do it this year rwa and rt beinbg 20 miles from me
JoannatheThird - Hubby and I went to Culloden. It was very moving... We camped just a few miles away, and it was so cold and damp. I can't imagine what it was like for those poor men who lay there dying all night....
PamelaClare - Well, I have to work on my web site. I'd rather stay and chat. You're awesome. Keep up the terrific work, Evelyn. See you on the loop.
KatBos - Val also has this wonderful English accent!
sdsquires - Hmmm. Mel. That would be hard..... Dh went to Culloden and sought out the McLaughlin stone in the pouring rain. VERY emotional, even with the distance of time.
KatBos - Night Pamela.
evelynrogers - BonnieJean, I travel a lot, but did not until children were grown. Keep the faith.
melaniejaxn - Squires, Scotland takes a lot of us that way. It's why I chose my traveling companions carefully.
sdsquires - I felt the emotion, but mainly I was very WET!!!
BonnieJean Hamilton - lol....well I have a long way....the oldest is only 11
Ann K99 - Val is a fun person to meet <G>
melaniejaxn - Bye Pam
Lea - I have an interesting story about Culledon I found out from the guys I talk to that lives near there
BlindFaith - I get emotional after I read the native American romances because you know how in real life they end up.
val - I should hope I have an English accent otherwise I'd get weird looks. Actually it's South London with have the south thrown in for good measure. Fortunately I DON'T have a west country accent though I went to school in Dawset!
RondaT - Let's hear it Lea
sdsquires - Val, hope youare stil lthere. Thanks for the tips about the Viking series.
val - yep still here, just takes a bit to type, glad they helped. I LOVE history.
Lea - well Jim told us they discovered made into fence posts were the swords the english seized
RondaT - Me, too, Angle. I just finished writing a NA and the whole book was very emotional for me
val - When my mum passed away earlier this year we had the reception at Hever Castle as we used to go there with my sisters at least once a year.
evelynrogers - val, I spent a month in London, South Kensington area, last year. Fantastic!
BlindFaith - What is the title Ronda?
Lea - they also discovered some swords had been made into plows
Ann K99 - Ronda and Squires...are you going to CR2003?
RondaT - Walk Into The FLame, be out June 03
melaniejaxn - Next trip across the pond I am doing Highgate
Lea - he said thsat a friend of his was trying to restore the swords
Ann K99 - I'd like to see Hever
Rose! - *sigh* I do like Swiftbuck! I can't wait Ronda!
BlindFaith - I find myself often breathing a sigh of relief when the hero and heroine from a Native American story goes back into the the Whitemans's world because I figure they have a better chance of happiness and safety down the road even though the story is finished.
RondaT - that is interesting, Lea. Ann, dunno this year am trying to do so many it depends on deadlines and money
val - Nice area, just by the 3 major museums - Natural History, V&A and the Science (great Space exhibit with an apollo capsule and the lunar lander they used in Moonraker!)
sdsquires - Ann, I am really thinking about doing it....how can I get info? Christine and Sue Grant and I have an anthology out in May. They usually go, so I thought I might.
melaniejaxn - Well, I suppose they may have taken the saying about beating swords into plowshares literally
Ann K99 - okay, Ronda
BlindFaith - Swift Buck!!!!
Lea - of course he said that him and a bunch of his friends pee on the statue of Cromwell there lol
RondaT - Thanks, Rose, and Angle, I did get to give mine a happy ending and it is even recorded in history, so that made it even better for me to believe they would be all right
Ann K99 - I stayed in South Kensington in 1998
sdsquires - I love the V& A, British Museum, et al.....
melaniejaxn - Cromwell was a monster. I have nightmares about him occasionally
val - If you like Henry VIII - Kent is the place. Hever (Ann Boleyn's child home), Penshurst Place where he stayed whilst bonking - opps courting AB and Leeds Castle.
KatBos - Ronda, your books are awesome!

Lea - I have heard that too
evelyn rogers - I think it's duct tape time
Cissy - welcome back, Evelyn
melaniejaxn - Sigh, I am goping to go watch a little football and get in some snuggle time with the dh. He leaves for the valley tonight. In this awful rain too!
JoannaIV - Bumped again *whimper*
Cissy - somebody throw Evelyn the duct tape
Rose! - Someone pass evelyn the tape!
BlindFaith - I get VERY emotionally attached to my characters. And I often wonder about the years ahead of them after the story is over. I think that is why Ilove reading sequels.
Lea - are we trying to set a record Joanna lol
RondaT - I would love to go to CR, all the authors say how great it is
