JoannaIV - Cyndi Lauper was the first "grown up" record I ever had....
Mac - There is one Monday, then not another until the 26th.
sdsquires - Sorry Ann. Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt re Dads.
Lea - hi ann
JenniferAshley - Ann: Sorry to hear about your dad. I've missed too, because I've been writing, writing, writing. WIP is almost done!!!!
Ann K99 - Ann...I'm sorry your family is having more health problems..I hope your father improves
evelynrogers - hi, Ann
JoannaIV - Really, you had trouble finding critique partners, Lea? I've found some really good ones online. They've really been a huge support for me.
AnnLawrence - Thanks, alzheimers unfortunately.
val - Yep, my dad wasn't feeling too hot, so I told him he couldn't come over! lol
JoannaIV - Ann, sorry to hear about the problems. It's very hard on the whole family to go through something like this....
sdsquires - Oh, dear. That is really difficult. My heart goes out to you and your family.
RondaT - well, son just informs us we have no water...I hope the damn well hasn't gone dry. We live in the country and have our own well
val - BTW it's his house I stay at.
JenniferAshley - Lea: I have a really great critique partner who just got published with a Regency for Kensington. I had to look long and hard, though. But we seem to match. I've never seen her face to face!
evelynrogers - AnnL, my deepest sympathies. I've been there
Lea - well I was lucky to get one Critque per-chapter and alot of times I had to fuss until I got one
Ann K99 - Alzheimers is MONSTROUS..one of my aunts had it
RondaT - Hugs, Ann
photonutz - leisure and love spells...... hmmmm interesting topic
Ann K99 - {{{{{{{{ANN}}}}}
KatBos - Ronda, we live in the city but have a well for outside.
AnnLawrence - Thank you everyone. It makes holidays hard.
JoannaIV - That sucks, Lea! You should seek out different critique partners... It's hard to find jus the right one, but they are worth their weight in gold!
KatBos - We gt lots of Alzheimer's patients at the podiatrists office where I work.
Rose! - Hugs Ann...I have been there and going again with my mom this time...
Lea - of course it didn't help out when this gal slammed me infront of everyone told me I was wasting everyone's time
val - annl sorry to hear that, it's the worst.
JoannaIV - I think that alzheimers is hardest on the family. Be sure to take care of yourself, Ann.
BonnieJean Hamilton - Photo...Leisure and Love Spell are publishers
Lea - both these were large crit groups
JenniferAshley - Lea: Just keep trying. Bad critique groups are worse than none. Hugs to you.
Ann K99 - Lea..she was a B*****@
JoannaIV - Lea - any critique group where that is acceptable isn't worth YOUR time!
evelynrogers - Joanna's right; take care of yourself. You can't help your dad if you don't.
photonutz - ok bonnie
AnnLawrence - BTW...I love all the holiday decorations here at writerspace...they always cheer me up.
sdsquires - The good thing, Lea is that this is one thing you can get better at with work. Find a group that will help you not hinder you, and keep working at it....I worked for years!
JoannaIV - A person who can't or won't offer constructive criticism is a menace! Stay away from them!
Cissy - Ann -- wish the holidays were better for you this year
RondaT - oh, my site is decorated http://www.rondathompson.com
AnnLawrence - Thank you everyone. It's great knowing people care...otherwise you think you're alone. My mom's 80 and dad is the love of her life. Literally love at first sight.
JenniferAshley - Cool, Ronda. I'll have to take a look!
val - the whole point is to be constructive with criticism
dawnie - Hi margret
BonnieJean Hamilton - Lea...I just found RWU
RondaT -
Ann K99 - Have a , AnnL
JoannaIV - I don't think there are too many writers who get anywhere without a LOT of work, LOL!
sdsquires - Ann, no wonder you are a romance writer....
Margret - Evelyn, you there?
AnnLawrence - Thanks Ann, I'll have two
Lea - I think alot of my problem was I was trying to hit the GH deadline n getting it done
JoannaIV - Oh, that's very hard Ann! I'll keep you in my prayers... Alheimers is so cruel.
JenniferAshley - JoannaIV: You can say that again!
evelynrogers - evelyn is here
dawnie - whenever I visit my local bookstore I always move the books around so that the leisure etc. books are face front! LOL
sdsquires - Joanna---as I say, YEARS! But maybe I started out behind....
Lea - what is RWU"
Ann K99 - # 2 for AnnL
sdsquires - Dawnie--you are my kind of reader!
BonnieJean Hamilton - Remance Writers Unlimted
AnnLawrence - My mom saw my British Royal navy father in uniform across a room and said that's the one for me and that was it!
Lea - I am in RWC lists
evelynrogers - dawnie, I like your style
BonnieJean Hamilton - I just joined..it's a critique forum
JenniferAshley - Dawnie: That's why we LIKE you!
dawnie - Ronda! you said the S word!
Margret - Evelyn, how are you? I really enjoyed talking about your Chadwick series last week. I asked my library to order them from other libraries so I could re-read them.
Lea - but I write werido paranormals
BonnieJean Hamilton - sorry..that's Romance Writers Unlimted
JoannaIV - Isaac Asimov once wrote that the first million words are practice. According to David Gerold, that means that even if you get published, you are still practicing (although it's nice to practice cashing checks and spending money, LOL)
RondaT - dawnie
BonnieJean Hamilton - they like all genre
evelynrogers - Margret, thanks again.
JenniferAshley - AnnL: Sigh, that does sound romantic.
Lea - even the paranormal crit group I am in has nothing to do with me
RondaT - the S word, Dawnie? When? I mean I always say the S word
JoannaIV - I've never heard of Romance Writers Unlimited... What are they?
AnnLawrence - The check part is the fun part
dawnie - I do it with my favorite authors too!
BonnieJean Hamilton - here is the link
BonnieJean Hamilton - http://www.timbrewolf.com/rwu/
dawnie - Ronda you can have the stuff!
JoannaIV - Yes, Lea. don't let those wenches stop you from writing!
Lea - where is rwu at
RondaT - Lea, do you have a community college? I met a lot of my critique partners through creative writing classes
sdsquires - Lea, are your books erotica? Some folks have trouble dealing with that.....
AnnLawrence - The banners look great. My tbr list is a leaning tower this month!
Mac - Never give up your dream of writing.
BonnieJean Hamilton - Robin Owens gave me that link
Lea - my first was about apictish warrior first century
RondaT - LOL, Dawnie, I just thought we'd better use these Christmas decorations before Christmas is over
Margret - What exactly does "Erotica" mean and how does a book get that label?
sdsquires - I met my first critique group after a master class in writing at UCLA--we were together for several years and they really helped. Seeking out the community education resources are a great idea....
Lea - I am thinking of doing an eriotia tt next
dawnie - LOL Ann I would take a tower! my is about 600
Ann K99 -
JoannaIV - I've found that very few people have been nasty about my erotica, at least not to my face, LOL! The romance community has been very supportive of me...
val - Dawnie I have a friend who does that with our favourite music acts. You can always tell when he's been in the shop amazing how many sections become the Corrs or Gloria Estefan! lol
Mac - Ellora's Cave is the best example that comes to mind for Erotica.
Lea - books that Susan johnson writes
Ann K99 -
JenniferAshley - Am I allowed to announce this here? I'm doing an Internet radio show now on Fridays called Spotlight on Romance. (www.bookcrazy.net/spotlight.html). I interviewed our own Claudia Dain last week.
sdsquires - Margaret--usually it means that the sex is more important than the story......Joanna, what would you say? You're the expert.
JoannaIV - Elloras Cave is erotic romances...
Margret - Okay, and would you also include Thea Devine, Bertrice Small, Emma Holly as erotica authors
evelynrogers - Yea, Jennifer!
Ann K99 - , Jennifer
BonnieJean Hamilton - yes
Lea - my problem is I don't drive so I am insolated untill I do learn
RondaT - How do we get on your show Jennifer.
JoannaIV - Yes, I would agree that straight erotica is about sex. I write erotic romances, which are just REALLY steamy romances... I don't like it if it doesan't have a plot, LOL
AnnLawrence - Oh radio. How cool.
sdsquires - Jennifer, that's great!
JoannaIV - I would call them writers of erotic romance, Margret
dawnie - the local bookstore doesn't know romance and just puts the books out any old way, so I arrange them the way they should be! LOL they don't mind me doing it either
Mac - Oh, sorry, Jo.
Margret - I like those too Joanna- have you published many books
Lea - the erotia one I am considering well be novella length
BlindFaith - Well, ladies, I am off to reduce my TBR pile. It was great seeing ya'll again.
JenniferAshley - Ronda: E-mail me through my Web site (www.jennifersromances.com) !!! I'll give you all the details
val - I would class erotica as the more extreme forms of sex. as there are some pretty steamy books which are classed as romance.
sdsquires - Me, too, Joanna. Hot, but the characters and the story still come first.
Ann K99 - yea Dawnie\
BonnieJean Hamilton - hmmm...I have a short story that is very erotic...
Lea - night blind
JoannaIV - I have one novel and three novellas, Margret
BonnieJean Hamilton - not published yet though...do not have the nerve to submit it
JoannaIV - Yes... I find standard erotica kind of boring... I mean, you can only boink so many times, LOL
JenniferAshley - Erotica: How about Robin Schone?
Margret - are they available at amazon.com or waldenbooks
Ann K99 - Here are some more drinks for those that want them~~~~>>
photonutz - carpe diem bonnie
dawnie - bye blind
RondaT - Crap, the pump went out, no water until husband can get a new pump. Lips are trembling, no shower, no dishwasher, no washer,
JoannaIV - It never hurts to try, Bonnie!
Mac - You've seen my fist attempt at it, Bonnie....it was less than 5,000 words.
Lea - I learned researching stuff on Ancient Greece they were very much intro that
JoannaIV - NOoooooooooo!!!!! that ain't good, Ronda!
JenniferAshley - Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie: Submit it. There are plenty of erotica anthologies out there and magazines and whatnot. Go for it.
val - BonnieJean if you don't submit it then you'll never know.
AnnLawrence - No bubble baths with naked men either Ronda
dawnie - yikes Ronda!
KatBos - Poor Ronda. C
Ann K99 - {{{{{{{Ronda}}}}}
KatBos - Poor Ronda, come on over to my house.
Mac - Ronda, that happened to Geek not too long ago, and me and the kids were there for a week...no water for TWO days....grrrr
evelynrogers - Ronda, that's awful. You better take it easy with the crap.
sdsquires - What I really need Ann is to ride my . I get crabby when I can't ride, and right now my hand is all stove up. What a bummer.

BonnieJean Hamilton - yeah, yeah
RondaT - Sniff
BonnieJean Hamilton - I have to edit it a little bit
Lea - you need to get that fixed
JenniferAshley - Squires: What kind of horsie do you have?
KatBos - Joanna, you wrote futuristic erotica though.
JoannaIV - Bonnie, the worst thing that can hppen is they tell you they don't want it. No loss!
Ann K99 - ok Cissy
val - Sorry to hear that , you could always chuck hubby out to get the pump and a flashlight while he's there.
Ann K99 -
AnnLawrence - Hi Cissy...nice banners as usual...and of course they hook me to buy
Margret - Thank You Cissy for sharing this chat with us- you're a sweetheart
Cissy - Thanks, Ann

JoannaIV - Yes, I wrote futuristic. Although I want to write other kinds of books, too.. It's a matter of having enough time for all the stories, LOL
RondaT - Ann, LOL, thanks everyone, this is the pits. Mom only lives five minutes away. Will intrude on her if I need to.
