A BLAST FROM THE PAST

I attended my 50th High School reunion at the end of last month in Palo Alto, CA. Interesting to hear the stories, the things people have done with their lives, and what they do now. One of my favorites is a member who was a high-powered attorney, now retired and working in a nursery! You who know me know why I love this. Retiring to the simple life of garden, growing things, creative endeavors and things "we always wanted to do but never thought we should." One of the things about growing older, is the kids are on their own (not that they don't come back or cause pain, mind you...) and now it's time for me, allowing something new, magical, fulfilling life's dreams and allowing that magical time to infuse our daily lives. All I can say is that as I grow older, I am more excited and not in any way in danger of living small, shutting down or being confined by my fears. Sometimes that brings a little too much chaos and not everyone wants to be around this kind of exuberance, but do I care? Not in the slightest.

NASHVILLE SEAL: JAMESON IS COMING SOON

[cover: Nashville Seal: JAMESON]

JAMESON is the full-length book that will continue where my novella, NASHVILLE SEAL, left off. Jameson and Lizzie get married at Nick and Devon's winery, and much of the story will continue with what started in ALEX, the winery purchase, and adventure as part of it. There will also be a trip back to Nashville that will rock their new marriage, and Jameson's dangerous first deployment. You'll love this book as he becomes more of a SEAL and leaves his music behind. I'm planning for an August 1st release so stay tuned for more details!

ASK SHARON

Ask me a question by filling out this form and sending it in. If your question is answered, you win one of my books of your choice in any format available, and yes, we ship internationally. Here's the questions I picked to answer this month:

Aline P: Sharon, will you write a follow up to Alex and Sydney's story in the future? So we can catch up on what happens with the couple?

Sharon: Yes, Aline, there will be more about Alex and Sydney as the next book is written: BAND OF BACHELORS: JAKE. And part of their continuation will be in the one I'm working on now, NASHVILLE SEAL: JAMESON. I'm blending in some of the other members' backstory and threads to use for future books as well. Of course, there will be issues with the pregnancy, but not to worry!

Tonya: You live in wine country — what is your favorite wine & why?

Sharon: My favorite wine is Coppola Director's Cut Cabernet Sauvignon. Coppola does a great job with their wines. I'm on an automatic ship with their wine club. That's why I chose this location for my Romancing The Vines book signing last February.

Sandy: What is your favorite book that you have written?

Sharon: Really hard for me to say, since I fall in love with every hero each time I write a book. There are favorites for many reasons. My first book was ACCIDENTAL SEAL, and that launched the series. FALLEN SEAL LEGACY had me falling all over Coop and that was the fastest book I've written. Just poured out of me. SEAL OF MY HEART was precious to me because of an actual friendship that could have been more, except for circumstance, on a plane. Sadly, that Marine has passed now. SEAL'S PROMISE because I really got T.J. Talbot's angst and the way he handled the death of Frankie and doing his duty, which grew to love with Shannon. Takes a big man to love another's child unselfishly, and then have to let her go when she wanted to. And then play hard to win her back.

NASHVILLE SEAL because I enjoyed telling a fictional version (embellishment) of J.D. Hart's story as a young CW star. I hope I have done him justice...it's a wonderful story.

I don't think I could have a favorite. Feels like I'd be cheating on my characters! They all have things I love, passages I so remember writing, things that brought tears and tons of heartbeats I'm so grateful for. I love feeling in love, being connected. Being estranged is hell for me.

LL: Which of your characters would you create fireworks with and where?

Sharon: Sort of like the above. You're asking me who to cheat on??? I guess if I were to put myself back in my 20-something body, I'd pick T.J. Talbot. I think he and I could cut a rug and they'd still be talking about it 50 years later! LOL. I love his strength. I'd make sure those sparks never left, even in old age, and somehow, I think he would forever bring out the spark in me. Great question!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! Remember:

EVIL EXISTS WHEN GOOD MEN (AND WOMEN) DO NOTHING.
